Since the late 19th century when the production of synthetic medicines gathered pace, we have forgotten the importance and potential of medicinal plants used to provide treatment and keep the body healthy. Most of the popular substances used in medicine, e.g. salicylic acid, codeine, bromhexine (the active ingredient in a popular cough syrup) or digoxin (the active ingredient in cardiac drugs), which were initially isolated from plants and only later reconstituted or modified in the laboratory, have been forgotten. 

With the trends towards the use of naturally derived ingredients and the eco lifestyle, knowledge of herbal medicine and the use of the natural potential of plants to maintain health is making a comeback. The synergistic interaction of phytochemical components produces better results than the use of single active substances. Plant extracts also have potential in cosmetics because they are rich in polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamins or other nutrients helpful in hair and body care.

The extracts obtained at Green Zebras can be used as food and cosmetic additives, ingredients in food supplements, feed additives, ingredients in animal supplements and cosmetics. We are in the process of preparing for the implementation of the HACCP system.
